Thank You Blackfoot Rotary Club
We'd like to give a big shout of THANKS to The Rotary Club of Blackfoot (Idaho) for their generous donation to help improve the landscaping at our children's home in Dabanyin, Ghana.
The Blackfoot Rotary Club's donation will help us improve drainage, prevent erosion, and establish safe areas for the children to play. We invite you to jump on board with the Blackfoot Rotary Club by donating to our landscaping fund today. With your help, we will preserve the land and beautify it with vegetation AND the smiles of healthy children.
A group of eight women from Idaho and Utah traveled to Ghana for two weeks in February 2015 to make a difference in the lives of children at the GMAD children's home.
These wonderful ladies launched a reading program at the home, took the children on a field trip to the beach, and established a playroom at the home wherein children can express, create, and imagine.
2015 Youth Trip to Ghana
A group of youth (and a much smaller group of parents) are combining efforts to travel to Ghana to work as volunteers for two weeks.
Exact dates have not been determined, but because airline prices increase significantly in June the youth are tentatively planning their trip to begin near the end of May.
The volunteers will lodge at the Ghana Make A Difference children's home in Dabanyin, Ghana, where there is a maximum capacity of 14 volunteers.
Time and space is limited, so if you are interested in an adventure of a lifetime and in finding yourself by losing yourself in service, be sure to act quickly by contacting us so we can give you additional information and put you in touch with some of the families that are planning this trip.
