CHILDREN HAVE BEEN ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR WITH THE INALIENABLE RIGHT TO BE REARED IN A FAMILY
Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of Ghanaian children by providing them with a place they can call home: a home that includes food, shelter and physical, mental and emotional nurturing while trying to reintegrate them with their biological family or find them a new adoptive family.

We believe that children are an heritage of the Lord (Psalm 127:3), that the family is central to God's plan for the eternal destiny of His children, and that children deserve to be reared by an earthly father and a mother. And while by divine design it is parents who are responsible to feed, shelter, and nurture their children, for those children who are waiting be reintegrated with their biological family or placed with a new family, it is our aim to provide the necessities of life to which they are divinely entitled.
In May 2012, Cory and Stacey Hofman traveled to Ghana to volunteer at four different children homes. Seeing the poverty firsthand, and sitting among children who lack so many basic necessities of life, the Hofmans were drawn to them. Instead of hearing about children in some distant land and wondering how they could possibly help, they were sitting among them, and they knew exactly how to help. Upon returning home, the Hofmans joined with others in Idaho to create Ghana Make a Difference, Inc., a non-profit corporation. Ghana Make A Difference was officially organized in Idaho on July 13, 2012 to provide the opportunity for any person to make a difference in the life of a Ghanaian child. Ghana Make A Difference operates with volunteer service, it has no paid employees, and it provides no compensation to its officers and directors. And because certain donors have elected to cover all administrative costs, 100% of your financial contributions go directly to feed, clothe and care for children in Ghana. Ghana Make A Difference is a registered 501(c)(3) organization; your contributions are tax deductible.
We’d like to thank our supporters for another great year of operations. In 2012, we focused our support on the West African Children Foundation in Kasoa, Ghana: food, water, clothes, medical supplies, school supplies, books, sports equipment, sheets, towels and volunteers. 2013 was dominated by the construction and staffing of a new children’s home in the village of Dabanyin. Today the children's home in Dabanyin Ghana houses 50 children, 11 full-time Ghanaian caregivers, and as many as 14 volunteers.
Please help us to continue to make a difference: make a donation, wear a GMAD t-shirt, or learn about other ways how you can help.
