Multiple Ghana government agencies that oversee the GMAD children’s home in Ghana require a criminal background check for all GMAD volunteers 18 and older. We cannot approve you to be a GMAD volunteer without a clean background report. A link to the background check is located on our website.
Step 4: Pay your program fees |
The first payment or deposit ($700) is due by May 1. The second payment, or payment in full, is due by July 1st.

- Food and lodging at the GMAD home in Ghana

- All transportation within Ghana

- Passport and visa
- Immunization and malaria medication

10 Day Itinerary Example
July 25 - Friday, Depart USA
July 26 - Saturday, Arrive in Ghana. Visit the Ghanaian Art Market. Travel to GMAD Children's Home. July 27 - Sunday, church, spend the day at the Children's Home July 28 - Monday, dental and project work July 29 - Tuesday, dental and project work July 30 - Wednesday, dental and project work July 31 - Thursday, dental and project work August 1 - Friday, dental and project work August 2 - Saturday, beach day with GMAD kids August 3 - Sunday, Beach, Global Mamas, back to GMAD. Head to the airport. Depart Ghana. |
