ABOUT THE GMAD SCHOOL:
Most of the children that go to the GMAD Academy of Learning hadn't attended school prior to going to this school. All of the children that sit in these desks fit into one of these categories 1) rescued from child trafficking 2) abandoned 3) have special needs 4) suffer from extreme poverty and are unable to attend school without GMAD. |

Many of the children rescued from trafficking have never held a pencil before arriving at GMAD. These kids are notorious for arriving early to school so they can read more and study before class starts.

At GMAD the children do much of their learning on tablets and laptops. Very unique to Ghana. Among other benefits, these children will be better prepared for todays job market.

While at school, these kids will be fed breakfast and lunch. This is a big deal for the children who have been selected by our social workers from the community to come to this school. It will likely be the only food they get each day.
